The house

Apartments Gloria is a family house in Kotorska, one of the oldest streets in Crikvenica, with three apartments and a shared roof terrace looking out over the Kvarner bay.

The roof terrace

The roof terrace is the heart of the house: a proper barbecue station with water and power, an outdoor shower, and seating where guests tend to end up in the evening. Above it, a terraced garden of rosemary and lavender.

Parking at the house

Parking is free and on the property, with a space for each apartment and garages available. In a town where parking is scarce, guests tell us this matters more than they expected.

Biker-friendly: a lockable garage with room for up to 8 motorbikes, free, on request, first come, first served.

Practical things

Fibre internet, air conditioning, fully equipped kitchens, cots for the smallest guests, and a laundry service if you are travelling for a while. Dogs are welcome.

Digital nomads and long stays

300 Mb/s, measured at the apartment, on a fibre line we can raise to a gigabit for a long stay — the change takes effect the same day. Tell us when you book that you are staying a while and we will put a desk, an office chair and a lamp in the apartment before you arrive. Downstairs, in our own apartment, there is a room we are glad to share with guests who are working here rather than holidaying: a table for six, a couch, the printer and the scanner, and tea and biscuits for whoever wants them. A pellet stove keeps it warm in the months when the bura blows. Longer stays cost less per night, from the seventh night and again from the fourteenth and the twenty-eighth — a discount we can only give on a direct booking.

Slavica meets you at the door

The house has belonged to our family for decades, and one of us is always here to meet you. Someone will be at the door when you arrive, to show you where to park, walk you up to the apartment, and pour you a glass of home-made rakija before you start unpacking. Slavica has welcomed guests here for over forty years and remembers most of them. Her son Alex now runs the house alongside her. Between us we speak Croatian, German, Italian and English — so ask us anything: where the fish is good, which beach stays quiet in August, where to stand for the sunset.
